Job description
Hebrew Union College, North America's leading institution of higher Jewish education, seeks a Reference and Engagement Librarian for the Klau Library in Cincinnati. You'll connect students, faculty, staff and community members with HUC's library resources and collections. This is a full-time, two-year appointment, with any continuation depending on budget and institutional needs.
Responsibilities:
• Provide reference and research help in person and by phone, email and chat
• Oversee circulation desk operations, and supervise, train and schedule desk staff
• Create LibGuides, instructional videos and other research resources
• Plan and teach library and research instruction in person and online
• Run outreach with academic departments and community partners to increase use of the library
• Assess user needs and help the Library Director steward the facility and collections
