Regional Development Director

Chai Lifeline, which supports children and families facing serious illness, seeks a Mid-Atlantic Regional Development Director to grow philanthropic support across the region. This relationship-driven, results-oriented role focuses on major gifts, donor cultivation and new donor acquisition, working with the Mid-Atlantic Regional Director and national Development leadership.

Responsibilities:
• Manage and grow a portfolio of donors and prospects through frequent face-to-face meetings
• Cultivate, solicit and steward major gifts, multi-year commitments and sponsorships
• Build a pipeline of new donors through referrals, lay leaders and community networks
• Use regional events and campaigns to identify, cultivate and solicit donors
• Track activity in Salesforce and meet annual fundraising goals

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required
• 5+ years in fundraising, major gifts, development, sales or relationship management
• Proven ability to solicit significant gifts; high-net-worth donor experience strongly preferred
• Relationships in Mid-Atlantic Jewish philanthropic communities highly desirable
• Available for evening and weekend donor meetings and events, and regional travel
