Senior Manager, Aquatics

The J in Overland Park seeks a Senior Manager, Aquatics to lead strategy, finances and safety for its aquatics operation. That includes an indoor pool, a summer outdoor complex with an Olympic-size pool, swim lessons and a swim team, and a new indoor recreational pool opening in fall 2027. The J is Shabbat-observant friendly.

Responsibilities:
• Lead aquatics managers, supervisors, instructors and lifeguards (up to 140 staff in summer)
• Own the aquatics budget, forecasting, payroll and revenue growth, including rentals
• Maintain the highest standards of safety, risk management and regulatory compliance
• Build training systems and a strong team culture
• Partner with leadership and Marketing to grow program participation

Qualifications:
• 4+ years as a director or manager of an aquatics program
• 3+ years of business development with a record of growing revenue
• Lifeguard Instructor Trainer and Water Safety Instructor Trainer certification (or willingness to obtain), plus current CPR/AED, First Aid and Lifeguard certifications
• Aquatic Facility Operator or Certified Pool & Spa Operator certification preferred
• Strong budgeting, leadership and communication skills
