Culinary Arts Instructor

The Evelyn Rubenstein JCC is seeking an enthusiastic, engaging Culinary Instructor to lead hands-on cooking classes and workshops for children, teens and adults in its Cramer-Jacobs Family Culinary Studio.

Responsibilities:
• Plan and lead cooking classes, workshops and demonstrations for all ages
• Design menus, recipes and lesson plans suited to each group's age and skill level
• Prepare the studio with ingredients and equipment 30–45 minutes before each class
• Enforce food safety, sanitation and the safe use of kitchen equipment
• Submit menus and supply needs to the Culinary Arts Program Coordinator in advance
• Support specialty workshops, private events and community programs

Qualifications:
• Culinary instruction, professional cooking or food education experience preferred
• Able and willing to teach both children and adults
• Current ServSafe Food Handler certificate or equivalent
• Comfortable working in a kosher-style dairy kitchen where meat is not permitted
• Available weekday afternoons, evenings and weekends
