Job description
Congregation Emanu-El is hiring a part-time Facilities Associate for Emanu-El Downtown, its satellite community for young families in Chelsea. The role keeps the space clean, safe, organized and welcoming for visitors, families and staff.
Responsibilities:
• Clean and maintain common areas, offices, restrooms, kitchens and program spaces
• Collect waste, restock supplies and maintain water coolers
• Set up and break down events, including tables and chairs
• Perform basic maintenance and report safety or facility issues
• Help with stroller valet and assist members and visitors courteously
Qualifications:
• Knowledge of housekeeping, maintenance practices and safety standards
• Able to use basic hand and power tools and lift up to 40 lbs
• Dependable, punctual and detail-oriented
• Flexible for evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
**Schedule:** Up to 24 hours per week. Wednesday 9 am–6 pm, Thursday 9 am–3 pm and Friday 9 am–2 pm, plus some evenings and weekends.
**Pay:** $21.50/hour
