Nursery School Associate Teacher

The Saul and Carole Zabar Nursery School at the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan is hiring a full-time Associate Teacher. The school is Reggio-inspired, grounded in Jewish values, and child-centered, and teachers work alongside children as co-researchers. It is an inclusive school that celebrates each child's developmental differences and partners closely with families. The Associate Teacher reports to the Nursery School Director.

Responsibilities:
• Work collaboratively with various teaching teams
• Learn and apply the Reggio Emilia philosophy and Jewish values in work with children
• Support teaching teams with observation and documentation
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director or Associate Director

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree (or in progress) in a related field
• Relevant experience
• Belief in school community and progressive pedagogy

Salary:
$47,000–$57,000, commensurate with experience, with full health and fringe benefits including a free onsite gym membership. The school is on the Upper West Side, close to the 1, 2, and 3 subway lines.
