Job description

THE ROLE
We’re hiring Sales Development Representatives to form our first SDR team. Led by a manager who has built and run BDR teams in a similar market and is doing this job himself today alongside our highly experienced GTM Lead and Enterprise AEs.

Most listening tools tell a company what is happening. Our platform uses AI and real-time video conversations to tell them why. You’ll take that to senior HR, People, Sales and Revenue leaders at companies with 2,000+ employees, mostly in the US, with some UK and Europe.

The role is purely outbound and phone-first. Cold calling is about 90% of the job, with LinkedIn and email in support. There is minimal inbound, so the pipeline you build is the pipeline we have.

This is 12 to 18 months of hard, repetitive work, on the phone, in an office. In return, you’ll learn enterprise sales from people who have done it, and take a route designed to lead into a closing role. For the right candidate, this is a place on the founding sales team, with the chance to help write the playbook future SDRs will use.

What You’ll Do:

Cold call VPs and C-suite leaders at large enterprises every day.

Research accounts and identify the right people to call.

Handle objections on the spot and explain a nuanced product in plain language.

Book qualified meetings for our Account Executives.

Write LinkedIn and email outreach that supports your calls.

Feed what you hear on the phone back into our target customer profile, messaging and scripts, which are still being refined.

Work toward a quarterly pipeline target.

EXPERIENCE:
You might be a good fit if you have:

0 to 18 months’ experience in B2B outbound sales. Recruitment backgrounds and adjacent experience are welcome too.

A real appetite for cold calling. You enjoy it, or you’re sure you will.

The presence to sound credible to senior buyers and to present to a room of executives.

Quick thinking, with the ability to handle an unexpected objection and keep the conversation going.

Resilience: you can hear “no” all morning and make the next call with the same energy.

Drive and ambition, and a willingness to work hard to build your career.

A bias to action. When something isn’t working, you try something else rather than wait to be told.

The ability to take coaching and apply it on the very next call.

A preference for working in an office, alongside your team.

Exceptional recent graduates with no sales experience are encouraged to apply.

Evidence of drive outside work, such as competitive sport, running a society, or working through college, is a major advantage.
