Job Description
Job Overview:

APTIM is seeking a Growth Manager to grow a defined portfolio of strategic federal opportunities within an assigned market. The role will be aligned to an APTIM Strategic Business Unit and a specific customer portfolio, such as federal environmental remediation, nuclear decommissioning and closure, energy infrastructure, or other government markets. You will work directly with Account Managers, operations, technical leaders, proposal teams, and executive sponsors to turn customer insight and APTIM capabilities into qualified, winning positions.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of strategic opportunities aligned with SBU growth priorities, customer needs, and APTIM capabilities.
Develop customer, stakeholder, acquisition, funding, and competitive intelligence early enough to shape requirements and improve APTIM’s position before solicitation release.
Lead qualification, capture planning, win strategy, value proposition, discriminators, teaming strategy, solution development, pricing and price-to-win, and risk/action management for assigned pursuits.
Lead matrixed pursuit teams across account management, operations, technical organizations, business development, contracts, legal, pricing, estimating, proposal, and executive leadership.
Coordinate customer engagement plans with Account Managers and executive sponsors; build productive relationships with customers, partners, small businesses, and industry stakeholders.
Lead opportunity and gate reviews with clear recommendations on strategic fit, competitive position, P(win), investment, resources, risks, and bid strategy.
Carry capture intelligence and win strategy into proposal development; participate in reviews, interviews, negotiations, and award transition to maintain capture-to-proposal continuity.
Maintain accurate opportunity data, milestones, forecasts, investments, and action plans in the CRM; communicate barriers and resource needs early.
Apply lessons learned from wins, losses, customer feedback, and competitor activity to improve pipeline quality, capture execution, and conversion.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience.
Eight or more years of federal contracting, account management, business development, capture management, program/project management, technical delivery, acquisition, or related experience.
Demonstrated leadership of strategic federal pursuits or account-growth initiatives, including customer engagement, qualification, strategy, teaming, solution development, proposal support, and award execution.
Understanding of federal acquisition practices, customer buying behavior, competitive analysis, and contractual/commercial considerations.
Ability to lead and influence diverse, matrixed teams; communicate clearly with customers, partners, operating leaders, and executive decision-makers.
Strong written, oral, presentation, planning, and facilitation skills; disciplined use of CRM and capture-planning tools.
Willingness to travel for customer, partner, and pursuit activities as required for the assigned market.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated success winning complex federal opportunities in the assigned SBU market and customer portfolio.
Relevant market experience in environmental remediation, nuclear decommissioning and closure, federal infrastructure, energy, or other assigned government markets.
Experience with IDIQs, MATOCs, SATOCs, task orders, stand-alone contracts, joint ventures, mentor-protege arrangements, or complex teaming structures.
Formal capture, proposal, or account-management training or certification; relevant technical, environmental, engineering, business, or acquisition credentials.
Established customer or industry relationships relevant to the assigned market.
