Intake Coordinator - Medical at Jewish Family Service of Greater Dallas

Jewish Family Service of Greater Dallas seeks an Intake Coordinator to help uninsured and underinsured patients at the start of their care journey. This navigator and benefits enrollment specialist screens people for health coverage and public benefits and coordinates referrals across JFS programs. Responsibilities: • Screen individuals for health insurance and public benefits eligibility • Explain Medicaid, Medicare and Marketplace options and help complete applications • Track application status and resolve enrollment barriers • Coordinate internal referrals and warm handoffs between medical and social service teams • Keep accurate case notes, referral records and reports Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills • 1–3 years in patient navigation, benefits enrollment or care coordination preferred • Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred; CHW or Patient Navigator certification a plus Benefits: Health, dental and vision insurance, generous paid vacation and a 403(b) match.
