Infant/Toddler Teacher at Staten Island JCC

The JCC of Staten Island seeks a nurturing Infant/Toddler Teacher to provide a safe, stimulating classroom for 2-year-olds where they can grow physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually. Responsibilities: • Plan and lead daily activities that support motor, language, social, emotional and cognitive growth • Keep the classroom safe, clean and well organized, with appropriate supervision at all times • Follow Department of Health and Bureau of Day Care regulations for health, nutrition and diapering • Keep attendance records and files up to date • Keep parents informed about each child's activities and progress • Attend weekly staff meetings and professional development Qualifications: • Associate's or BA in Early Childhood or a related field preferred • One year of childcare experience in an early childhood setting preferred • Fingerprint, NYS and medical clearances Salary: $38,000–$40,000 annually Benefits: Subsidized medical, plus dental, vision, FSA and dependent care; free LTD, STD and life insurance; pension and 403(b); free membership, program discounts and ample time off.
