Senior Manager, Content and Communications at Congregation Emanu-El of the City of New York

Congregation Emanu-El (Temple Emanu-El), the Reform synagogue on Manhattan's Upper East Side serving more than 2,400 member households, seeks a Senior Manager, Content and Communications. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, this strategic, hands-on writer and editor shapes the Temple's voice across email, social media, web and print. Chaloner is conducting the search. Responsibilities: • Write and edit email campaigns, web copy, social posts, event promotions, clergy communications, appeals and newsletters • Own email marketing strategy, from segmentation through testing and performance analysis • Lead social media content strategy, including short-form video and Reels • Build content calendars and campaign concepts with departments across the Temple • Manage multiple projects, stakeholders and deadlines Qualifications: • 5+ years in marketing, communications, editorial, journalism or content marketing • Exceptional writing and editing, with a portfolio that shows range • Experience running email marketing and social media channels • Canva and basic video editing; Salesforce or similar CRM experience • Available during the High Holy Days and some nights and weekends **Schedule:** In person four days a week on the Upper East Side.
