Cashier and Dishwasher at Magen David Yeshiva

Magen David Yeshivah is hiring full-time, day-shift kitchen staff to work as cashiers and dishwashers at its Brooklyn school, and there are multiple openings. The job combines friendly, accurate service at the register with keeping dishes, equipment and the kitchen clean throughout the day. Responsibilities: • Take orders quickly and accurately, enter them in the system, and handle payments and change • Give courteous service to students, staff and visitors • Wash dishes, equipment and utensils, and help with some cooking • Sweep, mop, dust, remove trash and keep the work area clean • Help with general cleaning and minor upkeep of the building and grounds • Follow safety rules, standard procedures and your supervisor's instructions Qualifications: • Prior kitchen, food service or cashier experience (about 2 years preferred) • High school education • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work courteously with staff and the public • Ability to lift and carry 15–25 lbs and occasionally work in heat, cold or rain **Pay:** $17/hour Benefits: Competitive benefits, including a 403(b) retirement plan and lunch.
