Job description
Director of Social Care Network Operations
Monroe, NY | On-Site
$100,000 – $120,000
FULL TIME ONLY
Overview
A growing healthcare services organization is seeking a capable, highly responsible Director of Operations to oversee its Social Care Network (SCN) program, which helps Medicaid members access care management, community resources, and essential support services.
The program currently has approximately 20 employees and two supervisors, with significant potential for future expansion.
We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, pays attention to the details, understands the bigger picture, and doesn’t wait for someone else to identify or solve problems.
Compliance is the number one priority. The right person must be able to read and understand regulations, ensure procedures are followed, and maintain operations that can withstand audits and regulatory scrutiny.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who wants to take responsibility for a growing program. The organization has established compliance, quality assurance, training, and operational support teams, so the director will have resources and guidance while maintaining ownership of day-to-day execution.
Key Responsibilities
-
Oversee daily operations of the Social Care Network program, including two supervisors and approximately 20 employees
-
Ensure strict adherence to Medicaid regulations, documentation requirements, and internal compliance procedures
-
Read, interpret, and implement program guidelines and regulatory requirements
-
Monitor operational performance, including caseloads, waiting lists, screenings, billing, productivity, and staffing
-
Identify bottlenecks, inconsistencies, and potential compliance issues before they become larger problems
-
Hold supervisors accountable for staff performance, attendance, workflow, and follow-through
-
Review reports and operational data, ask the right questions, and address areas requiring improvement
-
Work closely with compliance, QA, training, and executive leadership to resolve challenges
-
Strengthen processes, improve efficiency, and ensure the program operates consistently and responsibly
-
Take ownership of operational issues and drive solutions through completion
Ideal Candidate
-
Excellent reading comprehension, written communication, and ability to interpret detailed regulations
-
Strong compliance mindset and exceptional attention to detail
-
Analytical thinker who can review reports, recognize trends, and identify problems independently
-
Highly responsible, organized, and proactive, with strong follow-through
-
Comfortable holding supervisors accountable and ensuring work gets done
-
Able to delegate effectively, make decisions, and take initiative
-
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
-
Experience in healthcare, Medicaid, care management, or another regulated industry is a plus, but not required
-
Prior supervisory experience is helpful but not mandatory for a candidate with strong leadership potential
-
Motivated to take ownership of a program and grow professionally as the organization expands
The ideal person doesn’t need to know everything on day one, but must have the judgment, initiative, and commitment to learn quickly, recognize what needs attention, and make sure it gets handled.
