DayHab Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Pay: $18.00–$23.00 per hour

HASC Center is seeking caring and enthusiastic individuals to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our DayHab program. As a DayHab DSP, you’ll help individuals build independence, develop life skills, and engage with the community in a safe, meaningful way.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist with daily living skills and personal care as needed
• Support individuals in group activities and community outings
• Encourage socialization, communication, and independence
• Follow individualized plans and behavior supports
• Document progress using electronic records
• Maintain a positive and respectful environment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience with I/DD preferred but not required
• Basic computer and communication skills
• Must be able to assist with mobility (e.g., pushing wheelchairs)
• Driver’s license may be required for some roles
• TB test required
