Job description

Role Overview
The Head of Marketing will lead Glitch Productions' marketing function across our growing portfolio of original IP, including Murder Drones, The Amazing Digital Circus, Gaslight District, Knights of Guinevere, and many more to come.

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will be responsible for translating Glitch's overall marketing strategy into a high-performing, scalable global marketing function.

You will lead the marketing team, build its capabilities and infrastructure, oversee performance, and ensure the function can effectively support an increasingly large portfolio of shows, products and franchises.

A core focus of the role will be advancing Glitch's capabilities in advertising, audience analytics, CRM, lifecycle marketing and loyalty. With an enormous global audience already engaging with our IP, we want to become significantly more sophisticated in how we understand, reach, grow and retain that audience.

You will work closely with our Marketing Director, who leads campaign, content and creative marketing. Together, you will ensure major launches and ongoing campaigns combine strong creative execution with effective distribution, audience targeting, measurement and continuous optimisation.

You will also be responsible for building the team, systems, processes and operating structure required for Glitch's marketing function to scale globally.

This role is ideal for a senior marketing leader who combines strong commercial and analytical instincts with an understanding of entertainment, fandom and creative marketing, and who knows how to turn ambitious marketing strategy into an exceptionally capable marketing organisation

Key Responsibilities

Translate strategy into execution: Partner with the CMO to translate Glitch's overall marketing strategy into clear priorities, plans, capabilities and measurable outcomes across the marketing function.

Lead the marketing function: Own the day-to-day leadership, performance and development of the marketing division, ensuring teams are aligned, appropriately resourced and executing effectively.

Build a world-class marketing team: Design and grow the marketing organisation, identifying the roles, capabilities and leadership required as Glitch expands globally.

Advance our advertising capability: Build and oversee a sophisticated global paid media capability across our shows, products and franchises, including channel strategy, audience targeting, experimentation, retargeting, optimisation and measurement.

Advance our marketing analytics: Build the analytics and measurement capability required to understand audience behaviour, campaign effectiveness and marketing ROI, turning data into actionable recommendations for the CMO and broader business.

Build our loyalty and lifecycle ecosystem: Lead the development and ongoing performance of Glitch's CRM, loyalty and lifecycle marketing capabilities, including segmentation, email, membership, rewards, personalisation, retention and win-back.

Partner with the Marketing Director: Work closely with the Marketing Director, who leads campaign, content and creative marketing, ensuring campaigns are effectively planned, resourced, distributed, measured and optimised.

Oversee marketing performance: Establish clear KPIs and reporting across the marketing function, identify performance opportunities and continually improve marketing effectiveness.

Own the marketing operating plan: Develop the 1–2 year roadmap for building the capabilities, people and infrastructure required to deliver the CMO's marketing strategy.

Own the marketing budget: Manage marketing expenditure and recommend resource allocation across advertising, campaigns, content, growth, PR, loyalty and other marketing activities.

Build scalable marketing infrastructure: Develop the systems, data, processes, workflows and operating rhythms required for the marketing organisation to scale, working closely with Business Operations.

Drive cross-functional execution: Partner with Brand, Consumer Products, Sales, Licensing, Events, Production, Creative and other teams to ensure marketing priorities are executed effectively across the company.

Key Skill Requirements
10+ years of marketing experience, including significant leadership experience within entertainment, media, gaming, consumer products, technology, or another global consumer or IP-driven organisation.

Proven experience leading and scaling a multidisciplinary marketing team, including hiring, developing senior talent, structuring teams, and building new marketing capabilities.

Strong experience translating high-level marketing strategy into clear plans, priorities, budgets, team structures, and measurable outcomes.

Deep understanding of paid advertising and performance marketing, including audience targeting, channel strategy, experimentation, retargeting, optimisation, attribution, and measurement.

Strong analytical capability, with experience using audience, consumer, campaign, and commercial data to identify opportunities, diagnose performance, and improve marketing decisions.

Demonstrated experience building or significantly advancing CRM, lifecycle marketing, loyalty, membership, or customer engagement programs.

Strong understanding of audience segmentation, consumer behaviour, retention, engagement, and the development of long-term customer and fan relationships.

Experience overseeing complex, multi-channel marketing campaigns and working closely with creative and campaign leaders to improve distribution, reach, effectiveness, and performance.

Ability to balance strong creative and brand judgement with rigorous, data-driven decision making.

Experience owning significant marketing budgets and allocating resources across channels and initiatives based on strategic priorities, performance, and expected impact.

Experience building the systems, processes, workflows, reporting, and operating rhythms required for a growing marketing organisation to execute effectively at scale.

Strong people leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align multidisciplinary teams and work effectively with senior creative, commercial, and executive leaders.

Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment, identifying problems, testing new approaches, learning from results, and continuously improving how the marketing function operates.

Strong understanding of global digital platforms, emerging marketing channels, audience trends, and how modern entertainment brands build and maintain global fandom.

Experience in PR, media relations, SEO, CRO, affiliate marketing, or international marketing is highly regarded but not essential.
