Job description
About the role:
Hex is growing fast and our go-to-market engine has to scale with it. As Director of Revenue Operations, you'll build and lead the center of excellence that runs the core rhythm of the business: comp, territories, capacity planning, quota setting, and pipeline modeling. You will turn work that is done by hand today into programs that run on a calendar, with clear owners and the right tools, so our business partners can focus on the strategic problems that move the company. You'll partner closely with the CRO, CFO, and sales leaders, and you'll shape how a high-agency RevOps team operates as Hex scales.
What you will do:
Design and build the RevOps center of excellence: define the programs, owners, SLAs, and calendar for recurring operational work.
Own annual and quarterly planning: capacity planning, quota and target setting, and territory design and administration.
Own compensation operations: plan administration, calculations, accelerators and exceptions, and the governance and audit trail with Finance and Legal.
Build and maintain a single pipeline and capacity model used by Sales and Finance, and improve forecast accuracy and coverage.
Partner with Recruiting and Finance on hiring plans tied to capacity.
Work with Systems to automate and instrument the programs (CRM, comp tools, planning tools, data models).
Free the embedded business partners to lead strategic projects, and hand off cleanly in both directions.
Report on the health of the go-to-market engine to executive leadership
About You:
8-12 years in revenue operations, sales strategy, or sales finance at a B2B SaaS company, including building or scaling a function.
Direct ownership of several of: comp, territories, capacity planning, quota setting, pipeline modeling.
Strong analytical skills.
Propensity to automate using traditional systems or AI.
Experience with Salesforce and a comp or planning tool (for example, Spiff/Salesforce Spiff, CaptivateIQ, Anaplan, Fullcast, or similar).
Excellent communication; credible with executives, sales leaders, and Finance.
High ownership and comfort with ambiguity at a fast-growing company.
