Job description
About the role
The Marketing Campaign Operations & Automation Manager will build and run the execution engine that helps Justworks Marketing launch coordinated campaigns across paid media, web, email, events, and customer-engagement platforms.
You will translate Marketing’s plans into working campaigns—from audience identification to activation and automated workflows to landing pages, forms, tagging, tracking, and launch quality assurance. Every campaign should connect to the broader acquisition funnel and customer lifecycle, with clear follow-up and reliable measurement.
This is a hands-on individual-contributor role for someone who combines marketing automation expertise with digital execution skills. You will partner with channel owners, Funnel & Lifecycle Operations, GTM Technology, and Analytics to increase campaign speed and quality through shared processes, AI, and automation.
What you’ll do
Own the operational process from campaign intake and approved brief through build, testing, launch, monitoring, and post-campaign learning.
Establish a shared intake process, prioritized backlog, and campaign calendar with clear requirements, dependencies, approvals, and capacity.
Build campaigns and automated workflows in marketing automation and customer-engagement platforms.
Activate audiences using the segmentation, eligibility, trigger, and suppression rules developed with Funnel & Lifecycle Operations.
Build and maintain landing pages, forms, and digital conversion paths using established platforms and templates.
Implement or coordinate campaign tagging, UTMs, trafficking, pixels, conversion events, and CRM campaign records.
Coordinate execution across paid media, web, email, webinars, events, content syndication, nurture, and customer programs.
Ensure campaign responses connect to the correct routing, nurture, sales follow-up, or customer journey.
Own launch quality assurance covering audiences, workflows, links, forms, tracking, consent, suppression, routing, and follow-up.
Monitor deliverability, workflow health, data capture, and tracking after launch; troubleshoot issues with channel and technology teams.
Partner with channel owners and Analytics to execute experiments across audiences, messages, timing, landing pages, forms, and conversion paths.
Maintain consistent campaign naming, taxonomy, tracking, templates, checklists, and documentation.
Use AI and automation to accelerate campaign production, testing, quality assurance, and repetitive execution tasks.
Measure and improve campaign cycle time, execution quality, capacity, and the use of post-campaign findings.
What you’ll bring
6+ years of experience in marketing operations, campaign operations, marketing automation, digital operations, or a related discipline.
Hands-on experience building campaigns and workflows in marketing automation and CRM platforms.
Experience executing across multiple channels, including paid media, web, email, and events.
Practical knowledge of landing pages, forms, tagging, UTMs, pixels, conversion tracking, and campaign data flows.
Strong understanding of audience activation, suppression, deliverability, consent, and launch quality assurance.
Experience supporting nurture and customer lifecycle programs as well as acquisition campaigns.
The ability to troubleshoot execution issues and work effectively with marketers, analysts, creatives, engineers, and agencies.
Strong prioritization and project-management skills, with a track record of managing concurrent campaigns.
Experience using AI and automation to improve throughput and reduce manual work and errors.
What success looks like
Campaigns launch faster, with fewer errors and clear ownership across teams.
Paid, web, email, event, and lifecycle execution connects to a shared customer journey.
Campaign responses receive the right follow-up, and tracking and measurement inputs are reliable.
Marketing has visibility into campaign priorities, capacity, launch readiness, and bottlenecks.
Reusable processes and automation increase execution capacity while improving quality.
Campaign testing and learning contribute to better conversion and customer progression.
