Job description

Walmart Channel Lead | New York, NY · $100K-$150K + Benefits

About the Role:
An e-commerce company in New York is hiring a Walmart Channel Lead to head its Walmart business end to end, covering listings, pricing, advertising, and the relationship with Walmart itself. The company wants a rockstar who arrives with a clear plan for growth and the confidence to run with it. Reporting directly to the CRO, this person has real budget behind the channel.

Key Responsibilities

Channel Growth & Relationships

  • Set the plan for growing Walmart sales and decide which products lead it
  • Work directly with Walmart’s marketplace and advertising contacts, and submit the company for deals and events
  • Evaluate and direct the outside agency, and decide when to replace it or take the work in-house

Listings, Pricing & Fulfillment

  • Keep listings strong across a large, seasonal catalog, including content, images, titles, variant grouping, and Walmart’s listing quality scores
  • Manage pricing against competing sellers and the company’s other channels, including promotions, flash deals, and event pricing
  • Build up customer reviews on newer products, and manage fulfillment placement, delivery performance, and aging inventory

Advertising & Reporting

  • Direct Walmart Connect advertising, from campaign structure and spend levels to proving that ad dollars create new sales
  • Build daily, weekly, and monthly reports that link results to specific changes made
  • Look for ways to automate and streamline catalog work within the company’s existing systems

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience running a Walmart Marketplace account yourself, including Seller Center, listings, Walmart Connect, and Walmart Fulfillment Services
  • Track record of growing a Walmart channel from a small base into a meaningful one
  • Experience managing outside agencies, with the judgment to know when to keep, replace, or bring the work in-house
  • Ability to tell advertising that grows a channel from advertising that captures sales that would have happened anyway
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to build your own reporting and tell revenue from profit
  • Comfort managing a large, seasonal catalog with tens of thousands of active SKUs
  • Fluency with AI tools in daily work, including an understanding of their limits
  • On-site in Midtown NYC, 5 days a week
