Technical Architect

Job Summary
Senior-level Security Architect with approximately 8+ years of experience.
Ideally has progressed from an engineering background into architecture.
Experience working closely with Application, Infrastructure, and Solution Architects.
Strong communication skills and ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Must be comfortable interacting with regulatory and compliance-focused audiences.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in architecture and design reviews.
Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments.
Identify security risks early in project lifecycles.
Support modernization initiatives within retail technology.
Provide practical security guidance to project teams.
Collaborate across architecture and leadership groups

Large, highly regulated enterprises
Suppliers should prioritize candidates with:

Application Security
API Security
Identity & Access Management (IAM)
Network Security
Hybrid Cloud Environments
Security Architecture within large-scale modernization or transformation programs
AWS and Azure cloud security expertise
Experience supporting migrations from on-premises environments to cloud platforms.

Other Requirements
Work Arrangement
Preferred: U.S.-based remote candidates.
Limited travel may occasionally be required for workshops or architecture team meetings.

Additional Guidance
Security certifications are a plus but are not required.
Formal architecture frameworks are not a major focus; practical application and problem-solving are more important.
