Job description

About the Role
As Senior Product Manager for the LSP Platform, you'll own the roadmap for one of Altana's most strategic product areas. You'll work directly with some of the world's largest logistics companies to understand how goods move, where compliance and risk create friction, and how Altana can remove it. Your job is to embed Altana into the daily workflows of LSPs so it works as a native capability. You'll also turn LSPs into multipliers for the Altana network.

You'll partner with engineering, design, data science, and our go-to-market teams to ship features that make a measurable difference for customers. You'll be accountable for adoption, usage, and customer outcomes.

You Will
Define the roadmap for Altana's LSP products, balancing near-term customer commitments with long-term platform bets.
Build a deep understanding of LSP business models, operations, and customer relationships across forwarding, brokerage, and carriage, and turn that into clear product priorities.
Set success metrics tied to customer impact, such as fewer holds and detentions, faster clearance, lower compliance cost, and new revenue for LSPs. Track progress against them.
Obsess over the end-user experience of brokers, compliance analysts, and operations teams who work at high volume under time pressure.
Work with our Enterprise and Public Sector product teams so that what shippers submit, what LSPs process, and what governments receive tells a coherent, trusted story.
Spend real time with customers through discovery, design partnerships, pilots, and post-launch feedback. Bring that insight back to the team.
Write clear requirements engineers can build from, and prototype with AI to test ideas before production code is written.

Who you are
You've shipped B2B products that customers rely on. You have 3+ years of product management experience, ideally on data-intensive, API-driven, or workflow products for enterprise customers.

You're relentlessly curious. You don't need to arrive as a logistics expert, but you're eager to become one. You love learning how a complex industry really works: the people, the incentives, the systems, and the workarounds nobody writes down. You ask the next question and the one after that.

You want to be side by side with customers. You'd rather sit next to a broker clearing a shipment than read a summary of the problem. You build trust with customers by showing up, listening closely, and coming back with something that works. You treat them as partners in building the product.

You own and drive outcomes. Shipping a feature is the start, not the finish. You define success by the difference you make for customers, track it, and keep iterating until the product delivers. When something isn't working, you take ownership and fix it.

You're technical enough to own the plumbing. You're comfortable with using AI in your daily workflow for prototyping and even code contributions, and you understand APIs, EDI, ETL/ELT, JSON, and integration architecture, and can go deep with engineers and customer IT teams.

You're obsessed with UX. You hate clunky integrations and high-friction workflows, and believe complex processes can feel simple.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience at an early-stage or high-growth company, where you defined a product area from ambiguity rather than inheriting a mature roadmap.
A track record of embedded customer work, such as design partnerships, pilots, or on-site discovery, that shaped what you built and led to measurable adoption.
Experience building platform, API, or integration products where success depended on fitting into customers' existing systems and workflows.
Comfort working with data-heavy or AI/ML-driven products, including turning complex model outputs into decisions users can act on with confidence.
Exposure to logistics, freight, customs, trade compliance, or supply chain technology is a plus, but not required. We care more about how quickly you learn than what you already know.
Experience with products serving multiple stakeholders with competing incentives (e.g., marketplaces, networks, or multi-party workflows) is a strong plus.
