Medical Assistant/Receptionist FT Urology

Job Qualifications:

A minimum of one or more years (1+) experience as a medical assistant preferred
Ability to manage patient flow effectively and take vital signs
Assisting in variety of treatments and medications as directed
Recording test results and maintaining medical records
Preparing exam room with supplies and equipment for treatments
Knowledge of insurance verification, prior authorization process and patient registration procedures
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professionalism when handling sensitive patient information
Experience working with EPIC and/or other electronic medical record systems

Education Requirements:

High School Graduate or equivalent plus (1+) years of Medical Assistant/PCT experience
Completion of an accredited program for Medical Assistant/Patient Care Technician (PCT)

License/Certification/Registry:

Current CPR Certification
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)/Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)/Patient Care Technician (PCT)
