Job description

Operations Manager, Field Operations

Location: Monsey, NY (On-Site-Full Time)

Estimated Compensation: $150,000-$200,000

Build the Engine That Keeps Operations Moving

We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead the daily execution of a fast-paced field operations organization.

This is not a dispatcher or scheduler role.

You will own production after a project is sold, ensuring crews, materials, equipment, schedules, and field leadership operate as one coordinated system. Your success will be measured by execution, accountability, labor utilization, and the ability to keep dozens of jobs moving efficiently every day.

The right person is a builder who thrives in a high-volume service or construction environment, anticipates problems before they happen, develops leaders, and drives execution without constant oversight. This ownership profile is directly reflected in the hiring manager’s expectations throughout the interview.

What You’ll Own

  • Lead all daily field operations across 5-10 installation crews and 60-100 field employees.
  • Optimize labor utilization, crew scheduling, and production capacity.
  • Ensure crews have the materials, equipment, trucks, and support needed to execute efficiently.
  • Hold field managers accountable for productivity, quality, and daily execution.
  • Identify bottlenecks and solve operational issues before they impact customers.
  • Build systems, processes, and accountability that improve operational performance as the business continues to grow.

Must-Haves

  • Leadership experience managing construction, field service, or installation operations.
  • Experience leading multiple field managers and large field teams.
  • Strong background in scheduling, labor planning, and field operations.
  • Proven ability to improve productivity and reduce wasted labor.
  • Demonstrated ownership mentality with minimal executive oversight.
  • Experience using service or construction management software.

Success Looks Like

  • Crews are fully scheduled and operating efficiently every day.
  • Labor utilization and field productivity improve.
  • Materials and equipment are consistently ready before crews arrive.
  • Field managers operate independently with clear accountability.
  • Projects stay on schedule while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.

Ideal Background

We are less concerned with the exact industry and more interested in operational complexity.

Strong backgrounds include:

  • Construction Operations
  • Field Service Operations
  • Exterior Services
  • Roofing
  • Waterproofing
  • Restoration
  • HVAC
  • Commercial Construction
  • Mechanical Services
  • Specialty Contracting

The Person Who Will Excel

  • Naturally takes ownership.
  • Thinks several steps ahead.
  • Makes decisions instead of waiting for direction.
  • Builds systems instead of relying on heroics.
  • Leads through accountability.
  • Enjoys solving operational problems every day.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a growing field operation and build the systems and leadership structure that allow the business to continue scaling.

If you’re looking for a role where you can make a measurable operational impact, we’d like to hear from you.
