Job Description
Position Overview:

The SR Architect serves as the internal solution owner and lead architect for Tecsys Elite WMS. This role owns the end-to-end design of warehouse solutions, leads implementation decisions, and establishes the standards used to configure, integrate, deploy, and support the platform. The individual will combine deep warehouse process knowledge with hands-on Tecsys expertise and will guide internal team members, implementation partners, operations, and technology stakeholders through design, delivery, go-live, and continuous improvement.

Location: Remote with travel
Schedule: 1st Shift with the ability to work outside of normal business hours for any emergencies including weekends based on business needs.
Travel: Up to 50% travel to any of our customer’s USA sites.
Compensation: $160,000–$180,000 annually plus bonus, based on experience, skills, and education. Includes comprehensive benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, generous PTO, sick time, and company holidays

This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities:

Own the functional and technical solution architecture for Tecsys Elite WMS, including receiving, inventory control, quality and status management, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, returns, exceptions, and operational support.
Lead discovery and design workshops with operations, customers, business analysts, project teams, and vendors. Translate business requirements into clear process, configuration, integration, data, security, reporting, and support decisions.
Define and govern the Tecsys solution blueprint, configuration standards, extension strategy, environment model, release approach, and reusable site implementation patterns. Challenge unnecessary customization and document approved exceptions.
Design and oversee integrations between Tecsys Elite and ERP, order management, transportation, parcel and carrier systems, automation, WES/WCS, material-handling equipment, identity services, reporting platforms, and other enterprise applications.
Provide architecture leadership across nonfunctional requirements, including performance, scalability, availability, security, auditability, monitoring, disaster recovery, data retention, and supportability.
Lead solution and configuration reviews. Maintain architecture decisions, process flows, interface specifications, configuration records, data conversion rules, test strategies, cutover plans, and operational support documentation.
Guide implementation planning, estimation, sequencing, dependency management, and technical risk management. Identify design conflicts early and drive decisions to resolution with the appropriate business and technical owners.
Direct system integration testing, user acceptance support, performance testing, validation activities, cutover, go-live, stabilization, and transition to support. Ensure defects and readiness risks have clear owners and resolution plans.
Serve as the senior escalation point for complex Tecsys Elite issues. Coordinate root-cause analysis across internal teams, Tecsys, implementation partners, and integrated-system owners, and ensure permanent corrective actions are documented.
Build internal Tecsys capability by mentoring functional analysts, technical team members, and support staff. Establish review practices, knowledge-transfer expectations, and role-based documentation that reduce reliance on external consultants.
Assess Tecsys releases and product roadmap changes, recommend adoption timing, and ensure platform changes remain aligned with warehouse operations and enterprise architecture standards.

Requirements
Minimum Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, supply chain, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
7 plus years of experience delivering warehouse management solutions, including significant responsibility for solution design, implementation, or platform ownership.
Hands-on experience implementing Tecsys Elite WMS. Experience with other warehouse management systems is valuable but is not sufficient by itself.
Experience serving as a solution architect, lead SME, solution owner, or senior functional or technical consultant on at least one end-to-end Tecsys Elite implementation.
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and 3PL requirements, including inbound, inventory, replenishment, outbound, returns, value-added services, customer-specific rules, and exception management.
Working knowledge of Tecsys configuration, workflows, extensions, reporting, data structures, security, and integration capabilities, with the judgment to distinguish configuration from customization.
Experience designing WMS integrations using APIs, files, messages, or middleware and coordinating with ERP, OMS, TMS, WES/WCS, automation, parcel, and reporting platforms.
Experience leading multi-disciplinary design reviews, resolving competing requirements, and communicating architecture decisions to both technical and operational audiences.
Ability to produce clear architecture diagrams, process flows, interface specifications, configuration standards, test plans, cutover plans, and support handoff materials.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to use application logs, integration traces, monitoring data, and SQL or reporting tools where platform access permits.
Proven ability to mentor team members, set technical direction, manage delivery risk, and maintain effective relationships with customers, vendors, and senior leaders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with multi-site or multi-client 3PL implementations and the creation of repeatable deployment templates.
Experience in regulated warehouse environments, including validation, electronic records and signatures, audit trails, lot and expiration controls, quarantine, recall, and controlled release processes.
Familiarity with GAMP-based validation practices and applicable FDA requirements for over-the-counter or other regulated products.
Experience with cloud or hosted WMS environments, identity and access management, observability, integration platforms, and enterprise data and reporting services.
Experience leading warehouse technology integrations involving RF devices, barcode scanning, label printing, conveyors, sortation, pick-to-light, scales, or other material-handling equipment.
