Job description

Requirements
What You've Done

Must-haves

You've spent 4+ years building an audience for a B2B tech, security, or developer brand, or for yourself, and you can show us the numbers: what took off, what flopped, and why.
Your portfolio makes us smile and makes us think "wait, that's smart."
You write sharply, think visually, and edit video fast. CapCut, Figma, Canva, or whatever you use; we care about output, not tools.
You've turned a technical topic into something people actually share, and you can show us. Think "indirect prompt injection via MCP tool poisoning," made human.
You've reacted to breaking news within hours, and you can tell a meme that lands from one that's three weeks stale.
You've gotten employees, or yourself, to show up on social in a way that worked, and you can explain how you got people to post and what happened when they did.
You use AI tools and agents in your workflow every day and can tell us which ones are overrated and why.
You ship 10 ideas to find the 1 that takes off, and you can point to the other 9 without getting precious about them.

Bonus points

You've built a following of your own: a channel, newsletter, community, or account.
You've created a brand character, recurring series, or campaign people still remember.
You've turned a conference or live event into social content that traveled beyond the venue.
You've worked in cybersecurity, or at an early-stage startup where the role wasn't scoped for you.
What We Look For At Zenity
You take ownership of outcomes, not just activity, and you don't need a detailed brief on what to create.
You move fast and hold a high bar for your own work.
You're comfortable building where the playbook is still being written.
You work easily with researchers, executives, and the field team, and pick up technical topics quickly.

What Success Looks Like

30 days: the content engine is running, your AI studio is set up, and the first experiments are live.
90 days: reach and engagement are clearly growing, employee advocacy is under way, at least one moment has broken out of the security bubble, and you're running a repeatable weekly cadence.
6 months: prospects, partners, investors, and competitors know what a Zenity post looks like, our conference presence is something people talk about, and employees are posting about Zenity without being chased.
Why This Role

First access to the research. Our researchers find new ways to attack AI agents before anyone else does. You'll be in the room, and you'll help decide how the world hears about it.
Real creative freedom, no committee. You get a direct line to the CEO and a team that ships what you come up with.
Permission to be bold. Security marketing is a sea of navy-blue padlocks and "trusted platform" copy. We'd rather be funny, sharp, and a little provocative, and still be right.
A new way of working. We're building a modern marketing org where one great operator with the right agents does the work of a much larger team. If you've wanted to work this way and your current company won't let you, this is the place.

This Probably Isn't for You If

You don't live and breathe social media and the trends moving through it.
"Thought leadership carousel" is your favorite format.
You'd rather report on engagement than create it.
