Security Officer

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding grounds to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, including directing individuals to appropriate departments and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders.
Minimum Requirements:

Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
