Security Officer

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, residence-adjacent areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with campus stakeholders and emergency responders as needed.
Minimum Requirements:

Possess CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
Have at least one year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
