Location: New Jersey
Schedule: Full-Time, In-Office
Salary: $130,000+ base salary plus commission, DOE
Position Overview
A nationwide wholesale foodservice products company is seeking an experienced sales professional to work closely with its sales representatives across the country. This is a hands-on, sales-focused role supporting existing territories, helping manage customer relationships, coordinating orders, and ensuring sales opportunities move smoothly from initial inquiry through completion.
This is not a traditional business development role. The focus is on maximizing sales within assigned territories by partnering with field representatives, assisting with customer needs, and helping close and grow existing business.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with sales representatives across assigned territories to support day-to-day sales activities.
- Participate in the sales process from customer inquiry and quoting through order placement and follow-up.
- Help reps develop opportunities, prepare proposals, follow up with customers, and move deals toward closing.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities to grow their business.
- Coordinate with warehouse, order processing, and internal teams to ensure orders are handled efficiently.
- Track customer activity, open opportunities, pricing, and follow-ups to keep the sales process organized.
- Help resolve customer issues and ensure sales representatives have the support they need to succeed.
- Serve as a central point of contact between the sales team and internal operations.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in sales, sales support, account management, or sales operations.
- Experience working closely with sales representatives and helping drive revenue.
- Excellent communication, organization, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and sales opportunities simultaneously.
- Comfortable working with CRM systems, quotes, orders, and customer records.
- A proactive, commercially minded professional who understands how to help turn opportunities into sales.
- Wholesale, distribution, foodservice, or related industry experience is a plus.
