Job description

What You’ll Do

In this remote role, the Contract Furniture Solutions Specialist will play a key role in supporting our sales organization by ensuring furniture solutions are accurately quoted, contract-compliant and aligned with customer specifications, project requirements and budgetary goals. Working closely with sales representatives, dealers, designers and internal teams, you’ll help deliver tailored product solutions across commercial, educational, healthcare and public sector environments.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Quoting & Contract Compliance: Develop accurate, timely project quotes based on customer specifications, space plans and product requirements. Apply the appropriate contract pricing, discounts, freight and payment terms across GSA, cooperative purchasing, state and local government and dealer-specific agreements.
Contract Administration: Maintain quarterly compliance documentation, support audit readiness and ensure quotes and orders align with applicable contract requirements. Convert quotes into initial CRM records to provide project visibility across departments.
Product Solutions & Specifications: Analyze project requirements and recommend appropriate standard or custom furniture solutions. Partner with sales representatives, dealers and designers to balance functionality, aesthetics and budget.
Value Engineering & Customization: Identify alternatives for discontinued products, extended lead times or budget constraints. Help validate the feasibility of non-standard configurations and custom finishes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Product Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance and Customer Service to confirm product configurations, pricing accuracy and project feasibility.
Process Improvement & Support: Serve as a resource for contract pricing and technical product questions while identifying opportunities to improve quoting processes, compliance practices and supporting systems.

2–4 years of experience in the contract furniture industry, preferably in quoting, sales operations, product support or a related role.
Working knowledge of contract furniture products, including modular furniture systems, casegoods, seating and ergonomic office solutions.
Familiarity with GSA contracts, SLED (state, local and education) purchasing agreements, cooperative purchasing programs and dealer or distributor pricing structures.

Strong analytical organizational and communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Ability to interpret product specifications, collaborate across departments and translate customer requirements into practical product solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with CET Designer, 2020 CAP or other furniture specification tools.
Experience with Syteline or a comparable ERP system.
Ability to interpret floor plans, finish schedules and technical product documentation.
Understanding of dealer and distributor workflows within the contract furniture industry.
