Job description

Overview

The Enterprise Systems Architect in Enterprise Data & Analytics will define and guide the future-state architecture across customer-facing product systems, enterprise business applications, data, integrations, and internal platforms. This is a senior, hands-on architecture leadership role for someone who can translate business strategy into practical designs, roadmaps, standards, and decisions that delivery teams can execute. Operating at the enterprise and portfolio level, this role establishes cross-enterprise architecture direction and guardrails and helps ensure approved decisions can be delivered, operated, and supported effectively. Delivery teams and solution architects remain accountable for detailed solution design and implementation within that direction.

The role will report to the Chief Information Officer and serve as the enterprise architecture lead across the Eagleview technology ecosystem. The Enterprise Architect will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Finance, Sales, Customer Operations, Data and AI, Security, Business Applications, and Platform Engineering leaders.

This is a full-time, remote role with salary range of $147,700 - $190,000, bonus eligible.

Responsibilities

Define current-state, transition-state, and target-state architectures across customer journeys, product platforms, business applications, data, integrations, security, and infrastructure dependencies.
Build and maintain enterprise capability maps, value-stream views, system context diagrams, integration views, and application portfolio views that clarify purpose, ownership, lifecycle, dependencies, duplication, risk, and strategic disposition.
Guide architecture for lead-to-cash, customer onboarding, ordering, fulfillment, entitlement, usage and consumption, billing, payments, service, financial reporting, and customer self-service.
Clarify systems of record and governed information flows for customer, account, contract, product, pricing, order, entitlement, usage, invoice, payment, support, and operational data.
Evaluate how product systems such as consumption services and MyEV connect to business systems such as Salesforce, BillingPlatform, NetSuite, customer support tools, data platforms, and internally built applications.
Identify brittle handoffs, point-to-point integrations, manual workarounds, redundant platforms, unmanaged internal tools, legacy dependencies, and unclear ownership; convert findings into prioritized modernization, consolidation, and retirement roadmaps.
Set practical architecture principles for integrations and data, including API-first and event-driven patterns, data contracts, observability, resiliency, versioning, ownership, quality, auditability, and operational supportability.
Lead architecture discovery before solution choices become fixed, ensuring requirements reflect enterprise, customer, financial, operational, product, security, and cross-functional needs.
Frame decision-quality options for executives, including customer experience, operating model, cost, risk, delivery capacity, regulatory exposure, vendor dependency, and technical-debt implications.
Evaluate vendor and platform proposals for business capability fit, interoperability, configurability, security, performance, total lifecycle cost, service commitments, vendor dependency, and viable exit options.
Embed identity, access, segregation of duties, data protection, resilience, privacy, compliance, and third-party risk requirements into architecture decisions.Partner with product managers, engineering leaders, business application owners, data leaders, security, and finance stakeholders
to align transformation roadmaps and sequencing.
Mentor architects, analysts, technical leads, and engineers while preserving clear accountability for delivery ownership.
Other duties as assigned.

What Success Looks Like

First 90 days: You have built trusted relationships, validated the enterprise system landscape, documented the most important product-to-business-system flows, established an architecture governance cadence, and surfaced the highest-priority architecture risks and decisions.

First six months: You have published target-state direction and transition roadmaps for priority transformation areas, clarified systems of record and integration boundaries, launched a governed application and capability portfolio, and helped shape decisions before major solution commitments are made.

First 12 months: You have helped reduce fragmentation, manual handoffs, duplicated capabilities, integration risk, and legacy dependencies while improving delivery alignment across Product, Engineering, Business Applications, Data, Finance, Customer Operations, Security, and Platform Engineering.

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, business architecture, solution architecture, platform architecture, or applications architecture across a complex application ecosystem.
Demonstrated success defining target architectures and transition roadmaps for enterprise transformation, not only designing a single application or integration.
Deep understanding of CRM, ERP and financial systems, billing and payments, customer portals, product and entitlement platforms, usage or consumption models, data and analytics, identity, integration platforms, SaaS, cloud, and custom applications.
Ability to model business capabilities, value streams, customer journeys, applications, information flows, integration patterns, and technology dependencies for both executives and delivery teams.
Strong command of modern integration and data architecture, including APIs, events, data contracts, master data, systems of record, observability, resiliency, security, and operational support models.
Experience rationalizing application portfolios and guiding modernization, consolidation, replacement, and retirement decisions.Executive communication and facilitation skills, including framing choices, constructively challenging assumptions, resolving competing interests, and driving decisions without relying only on formal authority.

Experience with lead-to-cash or order-to-cash transformation, product catalog and pricing architecture, entitlement and consumption models, customer self-service, operational workflow modernization, and financial integration.
Experience establishing or maturing an architecture practice, governance model, capability map, application portfolio, standards library, architecture repository, or architecture review process.
Familiarity with TOGAF, business architecture, domain-driven design, cloud architecture, data architecture, and architecture modeling techniques. Certifications are helpful when paired with practical delivery experience.
