Warehouse Lumper/Janitor

The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role focused on building upkeep. They will have great physical endurance to cover a large space. A keen eye for detail and diligence are also imperative in custodial maintenance jobs.

Responsibilities:

· Clean supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations

· Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces

· Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets

· Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables (e.g. soap)

· Wipe mirrors and windows

· Report major damages

· Undertake occasional custodial and janitorial tasks (shoveling snow from the sidewalk, lifting heavy items, moving chairs etc.)

· Determine proper storage methods, identification and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors and physical capabilities of facilities

· Keep accurate records on the use and/or damage of stock and stock handling equipment

· Examine and inspect items for wear or defects prior to use; reporting any damage to supervisors

· Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Problems-solving skills

· Critical thinking skills

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted

· Ability to enter and maneuver in confined spaces

· Willingness to comply with company guidelines in reference to appropriate attire

· Willingness to work overtime upon request in order to complete such tasks associated with the company

Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
