Job description
Position Summary
The School Recruiter \ HR Coordinator staffs all of Infinite Services' school therapy placements and keeps them staffed. This person finds and recruits providers, gets them credentialed and onboarded, places them in schools, and builds lasting relationships so they stay. A provider who stays for years is worth more than several new hires who leave.
The role combines recruiting, staffing coordination and HR compliance. It needs someone who proactively identifies future staffing needs, actively produces candidates, keeps every file complete and compliant, and builds strong relationships with schools, DOE officials and providers that lead to more business for Infinite.
What the Job Entails
School Staffing and Client Relationships
- Staff school therapy cases to meet company goals, and proactively identify future staffing needs before they become urgent.
- Build and maintain relationships with DOE officials, district offices and schools so their staffing needs are met and new opportunities come to Infinite.
- Keep clear, regular communication with field supervisors on scheduling and other placement matters.
Sourcing and Recruiting
- Source candidates daily through the internal database, job boards, LinkedIn, professional associations, referrals and outbound calls, texts and emails, not just inbound applications.
- Build pipelines for every discipline school contracts require, including reactivating past candidates and former employees.
- Reach providers before they're on the job market, and sell what makes Infinite a better place to work (role, schedule, pay and benefits).
College and University Partnerships
- Build partnerships with colleges, universities and graduate programs that train school-based providers, through regular contact with program directors and faculty.
- Offer students fieldwork, internships or supervised hours so they join Infinite when they graduate.
Screening, Placement and Onboarding
- Manage the full recruiting process: screen candidates for qualifications, licensure, availability, location and pay expectations, then interview and submit them to open positions.
- Coordinate interviews with schools and internal managers, extend offers, and lock in start dates quickly.
- Collect all required documents, background checks, credentialing and school clearances, and make sure training is done. No one starts with an incomplete or non-compliant file.
- Give new providers clear setup directions for onboarding and their first day.
Provider Relationships and Retention
- Keep in close contact with candidates during hiring and with placed providers at 30, 60 and 90 days, flagging retention risks early.
- Ask providers what they want (pay, schedule, caseload, location, supervision, growth) and check honestly whether Infinite offers it.
- Bring the gaps between what providers want and what Infinite offers to management, with suggestions.
- Build long-term relationships so providers stay with Infinite year after year.
Systems, Compliance and Administration
- Manage CPSE and RSA processes.
- Manage SESIS and CPSE rosters, and keep the applicant tracking system current: each candidate's stage, missing documents, start dates and how long each position has been open.
- Identify and resolve payment and billing errors quickly to prevent repeat issues.
- Support contract, RFP and documentation requirements.
Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years of school staffing experience, ideally including high-volume recruiting.
- Experience handling HR documentation, background checks or credentialing.
- Strong interpersonal, phone, text and email communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office, Excel, applicant tracking systems and job boards.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluent English and able to work full-time US hours from the Jerusalem office.
Preferred
- Experience with NYC DOE processes, including SESIS, CPSE and RSA.
- Knowledge of New York school clearance and credentialing requirements.
- Existing relationships with colleges, universities or training programs for school-based providers.
- An existing network of candidates in relevant disciplines.
