Director, Human Resources Operations at Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan

The Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan seeks a Director of Human Resources Operations to lead day-to-day HR operations for a workforce of up to 800 full-time, part-time, and seasonal employees, with primary ownership of benefits, HR compliance and risk, and HRIS. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, this role turns organizational needs into practical, scalable HR solutions. Responsibilities: • Manage the full benefits portfolio (medical, 403(b), wellness), broker and vendor relationships, and annual open enrollment • Ensure compliance with ACA, HIPAA, ERISA, FLSA, and NYS/NYC employment laws; oversee leave administration (FMLA, NYS PFL, disability) • Lead the HR compliance program, regulatory filings, and complex employee relations matters • Own the HRIS, data integrity, integrations, and HR reporting and dashboards Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree required; Master's in HR or Business preferred • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years managing benefits and HR operations and systems • Strong knowledge of federal, NYS, and NYC employment law • Nonprofit or mission-driven experience preferred **Schedule:** Hybrid, 4 days in the office with Fridays optional Salary: $120,000-$140,000 Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision; FSA and commuter benefits; 403(b); generous paid time off and holidays; EAP; free JCC fitness membership and program discounts.
