General Faculty at Touro University

Touro College of Dental Medicine is hiring part-time General Faculty for its clinic (about 19 hours per week). Clinical faculty provide direct patient care and mentor and teach student dentists, reporting to the Clinical Practice Leader (CPL) with a dotted line to the Director of Clinical Education. Responsibilities: • Guide student doctor–patient interactions and the transition to clinical practice • Monitor student performance, treatment planning, and progress; model professionalism • Help the CPL review student care quality, patient rosters, and treatment goals • Approve clinical notes and procedure codes and assess students on preparedness, professionalism, and promptness • Ensure clinical protocols and infection control compliance • Help supervise clinical formative and summative exams and attend faculty meetings Qualifications: • D.D.S./D.M.D. from a CODA-accredited dental school (or equivalent) • Dental license registration or eligibility for licensure in New York • Preferred: AEGD or GPR certificate, DEA number, teaching experience, and familiarity with digital dentistry • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and high ethical standards Salary: $32,000–$40,000 per year.
