Year-Round Lifeguard at Shalom Austin

Shalom Austin is hiring Lifeguards for its year-round aquatics center. Part-time and full-time schedules are available. Compensation: $17.00–$18.00 per hour. Responsibilities: • Keep pool patrons safe by preventing accidents and responding quickly to emergencies • Follow and enforce pool policies and rules, and provide constant safety surveillance • Attend required trainings and in-service meetings and keep rescue skills at a ready level • Complete routine maintenance, cleaning and safety-check logs in line with state and local guidelines • Care for equipment and keep your supervisor informed of supply needs Requirements: • At least 16 years old, with one year of customer or public service experience (aquatic facility experience preferred) • American Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid, Waterpark, CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Administering Emergency Oxygen certifications (or obtain before starting) • Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification preferred • Must pass required background checks Benefits: Free membership to the fitness and aquatics center, ongoing training and continuing education, and flexible scheduling.
