Job description

Program Director – DOE Funded Special Education Program LBAPS · Brooklyn, NY · Full-time $60 – $75 an hour (negotiable)

LBAPS is a rapidly growing ABA organization committed to expanding access to life-changing Applied Behavior Analysis services for children with autism and related developmental needs. Great pay.

We're looking for a Program Director to lead the growth and external operations of a DOE-funded special education program serving students with autism spectrum disorder and ADHD within general education settings in private schools. The program's instruction and behavior support are BCBA-driven, and you'll be the outward-facing leader keeping it full, staffed, well-represented, and properly documented.

What you'll do:

Drive recruitment, marketing, and enrollment growth
Represent the program in due process and impartial hearings; testify as needed
Attend IEP meetings and represent the program's position on services and mandates
Serve as the point of contact for parents, school and district administration, evaluators, related-service agencies, counsel, and funding sources
Own intake, enrollment, scheduling, data collection, documentation, billing, and reporting systems end to end
Select, implement, and maintain practice-management, data-collection, CRM, HR, and document-storage platforms; train staff on consistent use

What we're looking for:

Bachelor's degree required; master's in special education, ABA, psychology, business, or related field preferred
3–5+ years in leadership, business development, or program administration, ideally in special education, ABA, or human services
Working knowledge of IEP/IESP processes, DOE funding structures, due process/impartial hearings, and special education regulation
Track record of success in recruitment, enrollment growth, or marketing
Experience building and managing operational systems and workflows
Willingness to testify at impartial hearings; hearing or deposition experience a plus
Strong writing skills and comfort reviewing clinical/educational documentation
Excellent interpersonal skills and credibility with families, administrators, and attorneys
