Job description

Responsibilities

Website & Digital Content

Assist with maintaining and updating website content using WordPress.
Upload events, update pages, manage images, and help ensure online content is accurate and current.
Learn and apply basic SEO practices and support site organization.

Email Communications

Support the preparation, formatting, and scheduling of weekly newsletters and event emails.
Proofread content for clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
Help ensure messaging aligns with brand voice and tone across communications.

Social Media

Create and schedule social media posts across platforms (primarily Facebook and Instagram).
Assist with maintaining a social media content calendar and monitoring engagement.
Capture photos and short videos at events when needed and help organize media assets.

Design & Branding

Use brand templates to update digital and print materials in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop or Adobe Express).
Prepare simple graphics for web, email, social media, and print.
Support brand consistency across all marketing materials.
Assist with light design work and learn best practices for layout and visual communication.

Administrative & Project Support

Support the Marketing team during holidays, events, and campaigns.
Coordinate with staff and program leaders to gather information for marketing requests.
Help organize digital files, shared drives, and asset libraries.
Track deadlines and assist with project workflow and scheduling.

Technical & Systems Support

Work comfortably in a Windows-based environment.
Learn and use internal systems for event listings, registrations, and communications.
Provide general support with digital tools and platforms as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or a related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply).
Basic experience with WordPress or a willingness to learn quickly.
Foundational design skills and familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, or Adobe Express).
Experience creating social media content (internships, campus work, or personal projects okay).
Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Positive attitude, collaborative spirit, and eagerness to learn and grow.
Interest in nonprofit or community-based work is a plus, but not required.
Knowledge of Jewish culture, holidays and traditions is preferred.
