Director of Development, Yachad South Florida

Position Summary:

Yachad is seeking a relationship-driven and strategic Director of Development to lead fundraising efforts in our fastest-growing region, Yachad South Florida.

The Director of Development is responsible for the identification, cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation of charitable gifts from existing and new donors. This position is responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with key community members to strengthen Yachad’s fundraising capabilities.

Responsibilities:

Develop and manage a portfolio of fundraising donors and prospects through all phases of the giving cycle, from validation and engagement through cultivation, solicitation, gift negotiation, and stewardship with the expectation of growing the campaign to a minimum of $500K annually.
Conduct a minimum of 60 prospect meetings annually to cultivate and solicit prospects and close gifts.
Complete a minimum of 30 major gift solicitations annually.
Plan and organize fundraising events to help fulfill fundraising goals.
Work in partnership with the Regional Director to identify key prospects and leaders who will move Yachad South Florida’s fundraising forward.
Responsible for managing communications and follow-up, including detailed contact reports on all donor prospects in portfolio and updating all moves in Yachad’s CRM, Velocity.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
A minimum of 7 years of fundraising or related transferable experience required.
Strong commitment to Jewish philanthropy and serving the disability community.
Experience presenting priorities and presenting information clearly and compellingly, both in writing and in person.
Previous demonstrated experience successfully closing 5- and 6-figure gifts.
Strong knowledge of the philanthropic Jewish community in Florida is essential.
Highly motivated self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing an annual campaign strategy.
