Job description
Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and supporting schedules.
Assist with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and cash reconciliations.
Prepare bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in the accounting system.
Support audits and provide required financial documentation.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Maintain compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting issues.
Perform ad hoc accounting and financial analysis as required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2โ5 years of professional accounting experience.
CPA preferred; candidates actively pursuing CPA certification may be considered.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Hands-on experience with General Ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
Experience with month-end and year-end closing activities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial formulas.
Experience with accounting software or ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Active CPA license or CPA exam progress.
Experience in retail, e-commerce, or consumer-facing organizations.
Knowledge of US GAAP.
Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and financial reporting.
Strong Excel and financial data analysis skills.
Experience supporting audits and internal controls.
