Security Officer

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain communication with campus contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as needed.
Minimum Requirements:

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
