VP of Operations

A growing substance use disorder treatment organization is seeking a VP of Operations to lead daily operations across its programs and locations. Working closely with the CEO and department leaders, this person will build strong teams, turn plans into action, and put systems and technology in place that support quality care and continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations across all programs and locations, ensuring consistent service delivery and a positive client experience.
• Coordinate clinical, billing, compliance, and administrative teams with clear responsibilities and follow-through.
• Hire, develop, and mentor department leaders, building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Monitor performance data, solve recurring problems, and streamline and automate workflows.
• Support licensing, CARF accreditation, and compliance with state authorities, EKRA, and ASAM levels of care.
• Oversee staffing, budgets, and cost control in partnership with finance.
• Own operational technology, including EHR, billing platforms, and dashboards.
• Partner with the CEO on strategy, growth, and readiness for new sites and programs.
• Provide regular reporting to the CEO on key metrics, risks, and initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven leadership of large, multi-department teams, with the ability to build trust, develop managers, address performance issues, and hold people accountable.
• 5+ years in healthcare operations, ideally in behavioral health or substance use treatment, including regulatory compliance in a licensed setting.
• Track record of managing multiple sites or programs and improving efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Technical fluency with EHR, billing, and internal software systems.
• Medicaid billing and reimbursement experience is a plus.

Salary: $200K–$250K
