In This Position, You Will Have the Opportunity To
• Oversee Warehouse and Distribution Center operations, supporting manufacturing and global distribution of medical devices.
• Establish, track and report on department metrics and KPI’s, ensuring efficient operations and allowing for continuous improvement activities.
• Manage Warehouse and Distribution Center within departmental budgets; actively participating in annual business plan process.
• Assesses warehouse and distribution technologies and practices to drive effectiveness, efficiencies, cost and customer satisfaction in these areas.
• Leads, develops and motivates team to deliver high levels of productivity, quality of work, and job satisfaction.
• Maintains and promote safe work environment and conditions throughout warehouse operations.
• Promote processes designed to ensure accurate inventory management practices, coordinate with Inventory Control on all inventory issues
• Other duties as dictated by business needs.
What You Need to Succeed in This Position
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics preferred or equivalent years of professional related work experience
• 10+ years of warehouse experience with responsibility for material handling processes, procedures and systems
• 5+ years of supervisory experience overseeing warehouse and distribution operations
• 5+ years of experience with DOT regulations with associated knowledge of the requirements preferred.
• 5+ years of experience managing a P&L in either a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred.
• Able to demonstrate a track record for implementing continuous improvements
• Experience and knowledge of Import/Export paperwork requirements
• Strong leadership experience and the ability to effectively manage and motivate
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills
• Familiar with warehouse best practices pertaining to workflow automation and layout, and barcode hand scanners hardware and software
• Experience with freight cost selection and tracking software (UPS, FedEx, LTL)
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Excel charting
• Working knowledge of total Supply Chain Management best practices
• Experience working in a regulated environment, preferred FDA
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, and work throughout manufacturing and facility areas.
Regularly required to use hands and arms to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and install equipment.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Must possess the visual ability necessary to inspect equipment, read documentation, and safely perform maintenance duties.
