Job description

What You'll Do:

Own and lead day-to-day global payroll operations across all payrolls, in partnership with our Global Payroll Lead, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regional tax and labor regulations.
Serve as a dedicated backup for payroll processing, removing a current single point of failure in the function.
Instill and maintain robust payroll controls appropriate for a public company, including SOX compliance, segregation of duties, and audit-ready approval processes.
Help ensure time & attendance practices are compliant around documentation, communication and processing.
Project manage payroll-related implementations and drive centralization of our payroll vendors, partnering closely with IT and HRIS, and identifying opportunities for cost savings through consolidation.
Own new-country payroll implementation and launch, managing registration, vendor setup, and local compliance requirements. This will also include cross-functional go-live readiness on reporting capabilities, funding, controls, etc.
Own the accuracy and integrity of underlying payroll data, tying tax remittances, funding, and payroll outputs back to each pay run before it flows to Finance.
Partner closely with Tax, Finance, and Equity teams on equity taxation, multi-state and multi-country tax compliance, translating tax requirements into instructions for our payroll vendors, supporting internal and external audits as needed, and assisting with recurring payroll financial reporting.
Document process for increased operational efficiency, team enablement, and rigor around payroll, including maintaining SOPs and audit-ready process records across all payrolls.
Bring forward-looking, proactive risk and process thinking to payroll operations, anticipating what's needed ahead of new-country expansion, benefit changes, or system changes.
Maintain the highest level of confidentiality while managing sensitive data, including across all types of compensation and equity information.

What You've Done:

8+ years of progressive payroll experience, including direct management experience.
Experience processing payroll for a public company, including SOX controls, audit requirements, and public-company-level rigor around approvals and documentation.
Comfort with all payroll-related processes, such as settlements, funding, etc.
Demonstrated international payroll experience, direct experience managing or implementing payroll across multiple countries, not just US payroll.
Technically savvy, hands-on experience leading or supporting new payroll system implementations, integrations, and platform migrations.
Experience operating in a high-growth, complex, multi-entity environment.
Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills; ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives.
