Doors Department Manager

Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site
Salary: $85,000–$110,000 DOE

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Doors Department Manager to oversee the manufacturing and production of doors within a busy lumber industry operation. This person must come from the door industry and have strong knowledge of door manufacturing, orders, materials, production, and project coordination.

The ideal candidate will take ownership of the department, ensuring every order and project is handled accurately, efficiently, and completed to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the doors department.
• Oversee door orders and projects from start to finish.
• Review specifications, measurements, materials, and production requirements to ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate with production, sales, vendors, and other departments to keep projects moving.
• Ensure doors are manufactured correctly and according to specifications.
• Monitor orders and timelines to make sure everything is completed properly and on schedule.
• Identify and resolve issues or discrepancies before they become larger problems.
• Maintain high standards of quality and workmanship throughout the department.
• Manage workflow and priorities across multiple projects at the same time.
• Provide leadership and direction to department staff.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience in the door industry.
• Strong knowledge of door manufacturing and production processes a plus.
• Experience managing door orders and projects from beginning to completion.
• Strong understanding of door specifications, materials, and measurements.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Previous department management or supervisory experience preferred.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who truly knows the door business and can take full ownership of the department.
