QUALITY ASSURANCE LEAD

The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) enriches the environment and protects public health for all New Yorkers by providing 1.1 billion gallons of high-quality drinking water, managing wastewater and storm water, and reducing air, noise, and hazardous materials pollution. DEP is the largest combined municipal water and wastewater utility in the country, with nearly 6,000 employees. DEP's water supply system is comprised of 19 reservoirs and 3 controlled lakes throughout the system’s 2,000 square mile watershed that extends 125 miles north and west of the City.

PREFERRED SKILLS

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in planning, design and design services during construction for process mechanical/ environmental engineering projects.

2. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or environmental engineering is preferred.

3. Demonstrates collaborative team approaches. Experience helping foster a positive team environment in which members participate, respect and cooperate with each other to receive desired results.

4. Demonstrated excellent communication, organization, writing, and public speaking skills and ability to meet/manage aggressive deadlines.

5. Experience with AutoCAD and Revit software programs.

6. Strong organizational and computer skills.

7. Process Mechanical/ Environmental Engineering design as it relates to water and wastewater projects.

8. Management and supervisory skills.

9. Interpersonal and mentoring Skills.

10. Technical Writing Skills.
