Paralegal

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an exceptionally talented individual to join our Legal group as a Paralegal. In this role you will be responsible for:

· Supporting the attorneys and paralegals in the Legal group

· Managing the funds’ account opening process with trading and financing counterparties

· Contribute to review and management of non-disclosure agreements, vendor contracts, and other agreements

· Handling high-volume contract execution and management

· Leveraging AI-enabled legal, document-management, and workflow tools to support legal operations

· Managing the funds’ ongoing KYC/AML/onboarding obligations with trading and financing counterparties

· Coordinating with banks and trading counterparties to onboard trading funds and keep the funds in good standing

· Assisting attorneys and paralegals with the corporate governance of a global investment manager, its affiliates, and its trading funds through the coordination of board meetings, the handling of required reports and filings, hand the maintenance of tracking documents and organizational charts

· Coordinating with insurance brokers regarding the firm’s corporate insurance policies

· Maintaining and updating electronic files

· Day to day responsibilities of the Legal group

· Lien and litigation searches

· Working across the different business units at BAM (Business Development, Accounting, Compliance, Organizational Development, Client Relations) on an as-needed basis

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor’s Degree

· Familiarity with the financial markets, transactional work or loans, or trading documentation is a plus

· Experience as a Corporate paralegal at financial firm or large law firm is a plus

· Paralegal certificate is a plus
