Job description
The Role
We're hiring a Strategic Finance Associate to be the analytical engine behind our biggest financial decisions. You'll build and own the models, forecasts, and metrics that guide how we allocate capital, price, and expand, and you'll work directly with the Head of Operations & Strategy and leadership.
What You'll Do
Own the financial model. Build and maintain our operating model and forecasts (revenue, margin, burn, runway) and keep them tied to real operational drivers like clinic count, utilization, payer mix, and collections.
Get to the bottom of variances. Define precisely what changed, find the root cause, and identify the 80/20 drivers worth acting on.
Guide strategic decisions. Analyze new-state expansion, payer contracts, pricing, and unit economics, and come back with a clear recommendation, not just a spreadsheet.
Support fundraising and the board. Build the KPI packages, board materials, and investor data that tell our story accurately and concisely.
Automate the work. Replace manual reporting, reconciliation, and data pulls with scripts, AI-built tools, and dashboards so we scale 10x without scaling the finance team.
Own the outcome. Work closely with the Head of Operations & Strategy to define success, then own the metrics and results.
What We're Looking For
[REQUIRED] 2–5 years in investment banking, strategic finance, FP&A, consulting, or a similar analytical role, ideally at a venture-backed startup (Seed–Series C)
[REQUIRED] Advanced financial modeling skills (three-statement and driver-based operating models) and strong Excel/Sheets fluency
[REQUIRED] Hands-on technical ability: comfortable with SQL, and with Python, APIs, or AI tools to automate analysis and reporting
Experience in a regulated or operationally complex environment such as healthcare, fintech, or marketplaces (RCM or payer experience is a big plus)
A track record of world-class problem solving. You've found insights that most people in your position would have missed, with measurable outcomes.
Exceptional written and verbal communication. You lead with the point, and tailor your message to clinicians, internal stakeholders, and investors.
Ownership mindset. You're a self-starter who finds the highest-leverage problems and relentlessly solves them.
AI native. You understand model strengths and weaknesses, build review steps around AI output, and complete in days what used to take weeks.
