Commercial RE Underwriter/Team Leader

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Insurance Underwriter / Team Leader with strong P&C insurance expertise to manage commercial real estate accounts from submission through placement.

The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, organized, proactive, and experienced in managing the underwriting process while providing leadership and support to the underwriting team.

Responsibilities

Real Estate Insurance Underwriting

• Manage commercial real estate accounts from submission through placement

• Market accounts to carriers

• Negotiate competitive coverage and pricing

• Present recommendations to clients

• Manage complex accounts and coverage issues

Team Leadership

• Support and coordinate the underwriting team

• Delegate workflow within the underwriting team

• Resolve complex account and coverage issues

• Serve as a day-to-day resource for the team

• Promote consistent service standards and effective communication

• Support overall team efficiency and performance

• Assist with day-to-day questions and problem-solving

Qualifications

• Strong P&C insurance experience

• Commercial real estate insurance underwriting experience

• Strong knowledge of the underwriting process

• Proven leadership skills

• Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
