Job description
Senior SNF RCM Strategist
Montvale, NJ | $150,000–$300,000
Our Client is looking for a Senior SNF RCM Strategist who truly understands the skilled nursing revenue cycle from the ground up.
This is not simply a billing management role. We’re looking for someone who has spent years working hands-on within SNF revenue cycle management and has developed a deep understanding of billing, reimbursement, denials, PDPM, Medicare, and Medicaid — including why processes work the way they do and where there are opportunities to improve them.
The ideal candidate is someone who has progressively grown throughout their RCM career, from hands-on billing into management and strategic leadership, and is now ready to use that experience to help shape the future of SNF revenue cycle technology.
What You’ll Do:
• Serve as a subject-matter expert on SNF billing, PDPM, Medicare, Medicaid, reimbursement, and revenue cycle processes
• Partner closely with product and engineering teams to translate real-world SNF RCM expertise into product functionality and logic
• Analyze existing billing and RCM workflows and identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
• Challenge traditional approaches and develop creative, technology-driven solutions to longstanding RCM challenges
• Help define product requirements based on the realities of SNF billing operations
• Mentor and educate internal teams on the complexities and nuances of skilled nursing revenue cycle management
• Bring a strategic perspective while remaining close enough to the details to understand how processes actually work in the field
• Help reimagine how SNFs approach billing, denials, reimbursement, and overall revenue cycle performance
What We’re Looking For:
• Progressive, hands-on experience within SNF revenue cycle management — ideally someone who has grown from biller/RCM specialist into management and eventually strategic leadership
• Deep understanding of skilled nursing billing, Medicare, Medicaid, PDPM, reimbursement, and denials
• Strong understanding of the day-to-day realities and challenges faced by SNF billing and revenue cycle teams
• Ability to take complex operational concepts and translate them into clear product requirements and solutions
• Naturally curious and analytical — someone who questions why things are done a certain way rather than simply accepting “that’s how it’s always been done”
• Creative problem-solver who enjoys finding new and better ways to approach traditional RCM challenges
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with product, engineering, operations, and leadership teams
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex RCM concepts to non-RCM professionals
Benefits:
• Medical insurance
• Dental insurance
• Additional supplemental benefits, including AFLAC
• Other company benefits and offerings
Why This Role?
This is an opportunity for an experienced SNF RCM professional to have a direct impact beyond the traditional billing department. You’ll have the opportunity to take everything you’ve learned throughout your RCM career and use that knowledge to help build better technology, improve workflows, and rethink how skilled nursing revenue cycle management can be done.
If you’re someone who knows SNF billing inside and out and has always thought, “There has to be a better way to do this,” this could be the role for you.
