Handyman / Lock Change Technician

Must live within 30-45 minutes of New Haven, CT. Local applicants only. Handyman / Lock Change Technician Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pay: $60,000 - $75,000, based on experience. Overtime available. Overview A large property management company in New Haven is hiring a Lock Change Technician. You will spend most of your day in the field changing locks at tenant move-outs, then return to the office to log keys and close out the day. We want someone organized, competent and communicative who works well on a team and can shift gears when priorities change. Responsibilities Work from a move-out list, plan an efficient route in routing software, and change locks throughout the day Start and finish the day at the office Return keys to the office and file them in the correct property box Keep track of every lock and key and where each one is Use the company system and phone to see assignments and stay in contact with the office Prioritize urgent assignments, including evictions with a marshal on site Communicate clearly with the office and teammates Schedule and Pay $60,000 - $75,000, based on experience Overtime pay available Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM No overnight or on-call emergency duty for this role Requirements Has changed locks before (at least 10 times). Locksmith certification is not required Organized, detail oriented and proactive, with good common sense Knows how to prioritize and when to pivot Comfortable with computers, phone apps and electronic systems Works well with a team Reliable vehicle required; a pickup truck is not needed Own tools preferred, such as a drill Must pass a background check Must live within 30-45 minutes of New Haven, CT
