Architect (Experienced)

This leadership role is ideal for someone with a strong network in the Northeast, a passion for higher education design and the ability to manage teams and projects at a strategic level. In this role, you’ll contribute to marketing and business development efforts that broaden awareness for RDG’s College & University market in the Northeast, forging strong client relationships and identifying new opportunities. This dual focus on client engagement and office growth offers a unique opportunity to influence both our projects and our practice at a fundamental level.

Essential Job Functions

Serve as regional leader for the development of higher education client relationships across New York and the Northeast region.
Support business development initiatives, identifying opportunities and collaborating with RDG’s marketing team to pursue new work.
Collaborate across RDG’s disciplines and market.
Oversee project management efforts to verify quality, efficiency and strategic alignment with institutional goals.
Serve as a mentor and resource for internal team members by supporting staff in professional development and project execution.
Oversee projects from start to finish, working toward the best outcome for the client.
Serve as a resource for our New York office, helping to grow RDG's brand and market share.

Education & Experience

15+ years of professional work experience, including leadership in higher education design.
Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
Demonstrated history of building long-term relationships with team members and clients.
Established relationships with colleges and universities in the Northeast.
Licensed architect in New York and/or regional states.
